Ronstan
Ronstan started out in 1953 in Highett, Melbourne, where Ron Allatt and Stan Lenepveu built wooden boats and the stainless fittings to go on them. The Australian company now designs its sailboat hardware in Melbourne, produces it in Australia, Denmark and Indonesia, and is official supplier to the Australian Sailing Team. In 2023 it launched its first Ronstan-branded winches, the aluminium Orbit Winches, whose patented QuickTrim self-tailer lets you ease the line without taking out the handle.
