International
Woodskin from International sits between an oil and a varnish. It soaks deep into the timber and leaves a thin, flexible film that will not crack or flake, drying to a subtle translucent sheen.
Application at a glance:
- Three coats, applied by brush
- No thinning and no sanding between coats
- At least 24 hours before overcoating
- Around 10 m² per litre, in theory
Because the film is microporous, the wood underneath can breathe. Woodskin suits all types of wood, including oily timbers such as teak and iroko, and it flows and levels well. Upkeep is simple: clean the surface and reapply season after season. It is sold here in a 750 ml tin.
