Scanstrut LMB Self-Levelling Backstay Radar Mount

The Scanstrut LMB self-levelling radar mount includes a 2.6 m anodised marine aluminium mounting pole designed to run parallel to the backstay and can be mounted either forward or aft of the backstay wire. The top fitting simply clamps around the backstay for simple installation requiring no changes to the backstay. The pole lower fitting has multiple mounting options and can either be secured to the deck, the transom or the backstay chainplate. A built-in cable channel runs the radar cables out of sight to deck level.
Available in four versions, LMB F1, LMB F2, LMB A1, LMB A2:
- LMB F1 / LMB F2 - The self-levelling radar mounting platform is positioned forward of the backstay. An optimal choice for boats with space between the mainsail leech or topping lift and the backstay.
- LMB A1 / LMB A2 - The self-levelling radar mounting platform is aft of the backstay. An optimal choice for boats with limited space between the mainsail leech or topping lift and the backstay.
Features:
Hydraulic damping - The self-levelling top unit features a fine-tuned damping system which reacts to major changes in heel angle of the boat. It is entirely maintenance-free and no power is required.
Anodised aluminium mount pole - 2.6m (8’6”) aluminium mounting pole, supplied in 2 lengths with hidden joiner piece. Cables are routed down a cable channel for a neat install. Additional 0.6m and 1.3m lengths available to mount the radar higher if required.
High strength universal mounting base - Eliminates loading on backstay. The base can be deck, transom or chainplate mounted.
Suitable for most boats - The stainless-steel platform has a fine tune adjustment for backstay angle and is suitable for single, double or split backstays.
Nylon backstay bushing supplied - Clamps around backstay allowing cable tension to be adjusted, perfect for adjustable backstays
