Grippy
Anchoring among rocks or other boats raises two questions: where is the anchor, and how will you free it if it fouls? Grippy, a self-adjusting anchor buoy made in Italy, answers both.
Each version has its own features, such as:
- Grippy Basic, with up to 15 m of self-retracting HMPE line rated at 500 kg
- Grippy Light, with 25 m of line rated at 500 kg and a night light that switches on automatically and recharges by solar power
The line keeps the buoy above the anchor, clear of other chains, and retracts as you weigh anchor so a boat hook picks it up under the bow. If the anchor fouls, the line helps free it. Both have two watertight chambers for the mechanism and a 316 stainless shackle.
