Grippy Anchor Buoy
Lightweight and compact anchor marker buoy with self-retracting line, only 20 cm diameter and 1.5 kg.
The Grippy anchor buoy can be quickly attached to the anchor before deployment. The built in self-retracting line maintains the Grippy directly above the anchor easily marking the location and avoiding tangling from the other boats, anchors and chains. When retrieving the anchor, the line retracts automatically allowing the Grippy to be recovered from directly under the bow of the boat with a boat hook. Depending on the model, the Grippy includes 15 - 25 m of 500 kg breaking strength line ( 1200 kg on the Heavy and ADR models). This allows the grippy to be used to pull the anchor free from rocks or other obstacles in case the anchor becomes fouled.
The Grippy includes a convenient bow / stanchion attachment, and the vertical visual signal can be quickly removed for easier stowage.
The ADR version includes an innovative line blocking device which blocks the self-adjusting line when the Grippy is inclined more than 90 degrees, allowing retrieval by simply lifting the grippy with its own line, useful for boats with elevated bows or catamarans where access to the Grippy is difficult or impossible.
