High-performance, double-braided (braid-on-braid) line engineered specifically for demanding marine environments. This permanently flexible line delivers balanced characteristics, combining superior strength, exceptional durability, and comfortable handling to keep your vessel secure in all conditions.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Permanently flexible & balanced elongation – Features low stretch under normal working loads (elongation of only 2.00% at 10% of break load) for controlled, shock-absorbing performance, while offering medium elasticity (around 9% at 50% break load) to reduce peak loads on hardware and provide comfortable mooring without excessive snap-back.
- Outstanding abrasion resistance – Premium high-tenacity polyester double braid with Gleistein's specialized GeoGard Marine Finish coating ensures long service life, even against heavy chafing on fairleads, docks, and rough surfaces.
- Water-repellent treatment – Stays drier longer with minimal water absorption, preventing weight gain and maintaining flexibility and performance in wet conditions.
- Very high strength & safety – Real breaking loads in splice provide excellent margins (no strength loss when wet); specific gravity 1.38 (sinks, non-floating).
- Premium aesthetics & handling – Tight, round, compact braid profile with a luxurious finish; easy to splice and handle, ideal for custom eyes, whips, or protective chafe gear.
- Excellent resistance – Superior UV stability, chemical resistance, and weathering performance; remains flexible without hardening over time.

- Double braid – 12-strand high-tenacity polyester core + 24- or 32-plait (diameter-dependent) with high-tenacity polyester cover.
