Sikaflex
Sikaflex is Sika's family of one-component, elastic polyurethane sealants and adhesives. On boats it bonds and seals timber, fibreglass, aluminium and steel.
The sealants and primers we carry cover jobs such as:
- Sikaflex 291i, an all-purpose marine sealant with solvent-free, low-odour i-Cure technology, for deck fittings, hatches and ports
- Sikaflex 290 DC, a UV-resistant caulking compound for teak decks that can be sanded once cured
- Sikaflex 298, a self-levelling adhesive for bonding teak and other deck coverings
- Sika Primer 290 DC and Sika MultiPrimer Marine, which improve adhesion on wood, metals and plastics
Sika builds these products to withstand water, sun, cleaning chemicals and fatigue, and calls Sikaflex the global reference for teak deck caulking.
