Low profile marine VHF antenna from the Shakespeare V-Tronix range: a 0.9 m (36") stainless steel whip on a sealed coil base. It is an end-fed 1/2-wave design with 3 dB gain, designed primarily for sailboat mastheads and also suitable for other boats where antenna size is a limitation.
It mounts at the masthead or on another vertical surface with the supplied L-shaped stainless steel bracket and hex nut. No ground plane is needed, so it can be fitted on fibreglass, wood or metal boats. The base has an SO-239 socket for a coax cable fitted with a PL-259 plug.
Coax cable, PL-259 connectors and mounting screws are not included.
