Schenker
Schenker has built watermakers in Italy since 1998. Every design is based on energy recovery, which keeps the power demand low enough to run straight from the batteries.
Schenker equipment here includes:
- The ZEN watermaker: the ZEN 30 makes 30 litres of fresh water an hour on an average of 110 W, or under 10 Ah per 30 litres at 12 V
- ZEN service kits with 5 micron and active carbon filters and SC1 and SC2 cleaning products, along with other ZEN spare parts
The ZEN is flat and compact, little bigger than a briefcase, and can be installed horizontally or vertically. Its low draw means solar panels, a wind generator or a hydro-generator can power it on their own. For cruising sailors, that means longer stays at anchor.
