Kong
KONG's story goes back to 1830 and Giuseppe Bonaiti. Best known for climbing and safety equipment, the Italian company also makes stainless sailing hardware at its Monte Marenzo factory.
Anchoring parts available include:
- 614 Chain Gripper in AISI 316, for 5-8 or 8-12 mm chain, with a captive pin
- The same gripper in a snubber or bridle to take load off the windlass, or to join a second anchor's chain
- 644 swivelling anchor connector in polished AISI 316, for 6-8, 8-12 and 12-14 mm chain
- 643 fixed anchor connector in the same slim design, for 6-8 and 8-12 mm
With no removable pins, the connectors pass over bow rollers and through hawse pipes. Robots at the factory test every item at 70% of breaking load.
