Boa
In 1994 Boa developed what it describes as the world's first multi-use strap wrench, and the Boa Constrictor remains its original product. The gripping is done by a braided rubber strap rather than metal jaws.
Jobs where a strap beats jaws, such as:
- Opening stuck round parts
- Undoing or tightening parts of almost any shape
- Gripping metal, plastic and other materials
- Work on board as well as at home
Because the rubber strap wraps around the part, it holds without slipping and without scratching or damaging the work piece. The version listed here has an aluminium handle and is quick and easy to use. Boa Tool Corp was set up two years after the invention to market it worldwide.
