Marinebeam
Marinebeam designs and hand-assembles its Illuminator RLT spotlights in South Carolina. The handheld RLT CREE LED Spotlight throws a narrow beam meant for picking out distant objects on the water at night.
Things it helps you find, such as:
- Buoys, channel markers and lobster pots
- Awash rocks and the shoreline in shallow water
- A person in the water during a MOB search
- Rescuers, alerted with the strobe mode
At 6 m the beam is only 50 cm wide, so the light can be used from the cockpit without glare bouncing back off the rigging. Usable range is over 650 m (ANSI FL1). Three D cells, included, give 18 hours on high or 120 hours on low, and the aluminium body is rated IP67.
