Hilltop
Hilltop Products, a UK specialist in heat shrink tubing and cable protection, makes the DWA adhesive-lined tubing. As its outer wall shrinks, an inner layer of adhesive melts into the joint and seals it.
Points to know about the tubing include:
- DWA 3:1 heat shrink in 3, 6, 9, 12 and 19 mm, shrinking to a third of its diameter, sold by the metre
- Irradiated, cross-linked polyolefin that is flexible, flame retardant, UL approved and RoHS compliant
- A hot-melt adhesive lining that keeps water and moisture out of the joint
- An operating range of -55 °C to +110 °C
Smaller sizes suit soldered NMEA and electronic cables, while the larger ones fit over crimped terminals, battery lugs and even rope ends.
