Duralac Green is a high-performance, chromate-free jointing compound specifically formulated to inhibit electrolytic decomposition (galvanic corrosion) between dissimilar metals – such as aluminium and stainless steel in marine environments.

This single-part, air-setting paste offers excellent protective properties, preventing corrosion at contact points while providing tough, flexible adhesion with very low water absorption. It maintains low solubility in water and resists erosion over time, even under high-pressure water flow.

Key benefits include superior environmental credentials (free of harmful chromates found in the original Duralac), strong resistance to corrosion, and reliable long-term performance in harsh conditions.

Applications - Highly effective for preventing corrosion on mast installations, rigging, aluminium parts, and other fittings where stainless steel or other dissimilar metal fixings are used. Ideal for marine, aerospace, and general assembly use.

Usage - Apply by brush to clean surfaces such as rivets, bolts, screws, metal fittings, or joints just before final installation. No mixing required.

For full technical details see the data sheet in the "Downloads" tab for more information.
