When an alternator becomes disconnected from the battery while running, the resulting massive voltage spike can instantly damage regulators and diodes resulting in costly repairs and leaving us without power, often at the worst time.
We know that turning off the battery key while an engine or generator is running can cause this damage but more often it is loose cables, blow fuses, faulty or worn battery switches among other things, that are more difficult to control.
The Pro Protect is a simple solution that protects your alternator by providing an emergency route for the voltage spike. This unit is simple and easy to fit with no intrusion on the standard system. The unit does not carry the main current so only light wiring is required. This unit works in conjunction with any alternator or splitting device.
Available in 12 or 24v versions. Can be fitted with optional buzzer or warning light.
