Blue Sea Systems E Series Battery Switch / Selector
Battery switch and selector for one or two batteries or battery banks rated at 350 amps continuous suitable for both gasoline and diesel engines. Tin-plated copper M10 connection studs are 22.2mm long, accept multiple cable terminals and offer maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance. Ergonomic front design can be operated in the dark or out of sight.
Available in 2, 3 and 4 position models.
9001e - 4 position selector - Off - Battery1 - Battery2 - Battery 1 & 2 (battery combine for charging and emergency). Make-before-break contact design allows switching between battery banks without power interruption.
9002e with AFD - 4 position selector - Off - Battery1 - Battery2 - Battery 1 & 2 (battery combine for charging and emergency). Make-before-break contact design allows switching between battery banks without power interruption.
9003e - 2 position selector - Off - On
9004e with AFD - 2 position selector - Off - On
11001 with AFD - 3 position selector - Off - Battery1 - Battery2
AFD - the innovative AFD feature (Alternator Field Disconnect) avoids costly damage to alternator diodes. Switching a standard battery selector to OFF while the engine is running can instantly burn out the alternator diodes resulting in a permanent loss of charging capability and expensive repairs. Battery selectors with the AFD feature have a connection for the alternator field wire. When the battery selector is switched to off the field wire is broken reducing alternator output to zero and avoiding diode damage.
