The Digital Yacht HSC100 uses fluxgate technology to deliver high speed 10Hz (ten times per second) heading data required for many on board systems. Unlike other low cost heading sensors which only output data at 1Hz (once per second) the high speed HSC100 is suitable for use with MARPA/ARPA radar and overlay as well as plotter, and PC based navigation systems which then allow chart displays to be referenced to the boat's heading.

The HSC100 has a simple two wire NMEA output and runs on either 12V or 24V with minimal power consumption. It is waterproof and can be mounted inside or outside (suitable for steel hulled vessels ). Features an automatic calibration/deviation routine to compensate for the effects of any nearby magnetic influences. A heading offset can also be applied if the sensor is mounted at an angle to the boat's centreline.
