SunWare have been making solar panels in Germany for over twenty years. Their panels are designed and tested specifically for use in marine enviroments and salt water, they are completely maintenance free, durable, and weatherproof even under extreme exposure whether in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, or the North Sea. All 12V solar panels are designed with 39 cells or 40 cells, consequently, they can be fitted without rear ventilation. Any voltage drop due to high outside temperatures is compensated by the 3 additionally integrated cells to enable full output.
Solara M-Series panels, also made in Germany are probably the most widely used semi flexible marine panels. Strong and robust, designed for use in harsh environments and very thin, the M-series panels have been used aboard many of the world's top race yachts such as Kingfisher in the Vendee Globe and can truly be considered tried and tested. As with the Sunware panels they are flexible up to 3% curvature, easy to install and if installed on a solid surface can be walked on.
