The latest generation of water pressure pumps from Flojet. Features the unique VSD (variable speed drive) system eliminating the need for an accumulator tank and pressure switch. The VSD could be considered the first smart pump. Instead of simply switching on and off at determined pressure settings and relying on an accumulator tank to smooth out the flow, the microprocessor controlled VSD system senses the demand and activates the pump accordingly. When opening one tap slightly the pump senses the demand and operates at reduced output, opening a second tap the pump speeds up until the maximum output is achieved. This results not only in an incredibly smooth flow but more importantly a significant saving in power and less noise, as most of the time the pump will be running at reduced output only speeding up when full flow is required. Other pumps are either off or running at full power.
By eliminating the accumulator tank and pressure switch, two of the weak links in the fresh water system are removed, increasing reliability. With the Flojet quick connect hose fittings and a fine mesh strainer included the VSD is an ideal upgrade.
